Air Shower

CleanZones, LLC offers our Air Showers in different design configurations and materials of construction to meet your exact requirements.  Air Showers are designed to remove surface contamination from personnel prior to entering a Cleanroom or Clean Work Area such as a Paint Spray Booth.   Numerous contaminants can be introduced into a clean room environment by being transported on the outer garments of an individual entering a clean room, and for that reason, many clean rooms will feature a personnel, equipment or product air shower. An air shower is a self-contained unit that utilizes specialized, high efficiency air flow and other technologies to effectively remove all types of contaminants from the every individual.  All of our Air Showers feature Hi-Flow V-Bank HEPA or ULPA Filters, recessed lights, Interlocking doors, and PLC Programmable Logic Controller and Emergency Stop buttons

We offer different types of Air Showers, S Series (Straight Thru Passage), L Series (Right Angle Passage) and T Series (3-door passage).  These units are also available in a Low-profile where the motor blower and HEPA Module are alongside the base unit instead of on top of the base.  Units can be coupled together to create a Tunnel configuration for passage of large groups of personnel.  Choose the correct type for your application or call and speak to one of our experienced sales engineers for assistance.

AIR SHOWER S SERIES (STRAIGHT THRU PASSAGE)

We offer the ASA S Series units that are designed to be floor mounted between and Anteroom and Cleanroom when a Straight Thru configuration is required.  These units provide an effective means of removing surface contaminants from personnel entering a cleanroom or controlled environment.   Completely self-contained, they function effectively in an uncontrolled area.  Special custom products are available without the custom cost for application specific projects.

AIR SHOWER L SERIES (RIGHT ANGLE PASSAGE)

We offer the ASA L Series units that are designed to be floor mounted between and Anteroom and Cleanroom when an L Shape door configuration is required.  These units provide an effective means of removing surface contaminants from personnel entering a cleanroom or controlled environment.   Completely self-contained, they function effectively in an uncontrolled area.  Special custom products are available without the custom cost for application specific projects.

Features for all of our Air Showers

• Standard construction is Wood board with plastic laminate exterior.  Corrosive Resistant Polypropylene, Epoxy Painted Steel, 304 or 316L Stainless Steel units are also available.
• Top loaded High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) Filter: 12” thick V-Bank Hi-Flow minipleat design 99.99% efficient @ 0.3 micron in an anodized aluminum frame, PSL tested in accordance with IEST Standards.
• High Efficiency direct drive 208/230/460V 3-Phase motor blowers.  Motors/Blowers are selected based on customer voltage requirement.
• Adjustable air nozzles on walls and ceiling shall be white plastic construction sized and spaced to provide an average of 6000 - 7,000 fpm air flow at the face of the nozzle.
• Recessed 2 pin T-8 fluorescent lighting 60 ft. candle in interior ceiling with prismatic refractive lens cover.
• Return air registers at floor level on walls shall be anodized aluminum with 1” pleated MERV 7 prefilters.
• Anodized aluminum entry and exit doors with push/pull hardware, hydraulic door closures and acrylic, polycarbonate or safety glass inserts.
• A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) shall be used to control the sequence of operation of the Air Shower.
• An Emergency Off button (EMO) shall be located inside and outside of the Air Shower in a conspicuous location.
• Activating the EMO switch shall cause the cycle to immediately end, and release all interlocks. Lights shall remain on.
• Door sensors shall be 24 volt DC magnetic reed switches. Door interlocks shall be 24 volt, located in the doorjamb.   All locks shall automatically release upon loss of power or when the (EMO) button is pressed.
• The Air Shower shall be a high velocity, low pressure type system in accordance with Federal Standard 209E and Air Force Tech Order 00-25-203.
